Wolfstride is a single-player role-playing game about three former partners-in-crime coming to a huge turning point in their lives. The official Nintendo Switch announcement trailer for Wolfstride has been revealed.
In this game, the three inherit a junkyard mecha called Cowboy. They decide to reunite and enter the planet’s most elite mecha competition: the Ultimate Golden God Tournament.
Each team member uses their unique experience and skill-sets as they prepare to win against the best mecha opponents worldwide. The trio has everything they need to succeed–a mechanic named Duque, a mecha pilot named Knife Leopard, and the all-rounder called Dominic Shade.
However, their attempts to make money lead them down a journey that will have them questioning their choices and their path.
In Wolfstride, there are three main domains. The hangar is Duque’s domain. This is where you will repair damage in between battles. You can swap out parts, install upgrades, and add new weapons to improve Cowboy. You can even perfect the custom loadout designed to beat your next opponent.
Use Dominic Shade, the exiled former Yakuza, to explore Rain City. The establishments introduce additional characters that offer jobs, support, or harsh criticism.
When you enter the arena to fight, your giant robot will fight a one-on-one match. The turn-based battle system rewards preparation and strategy. You must move carefully to attack, dodge, and defend. Wear down your targets and attack them until you are the champion.
