What is coming in the World of Warcraft Season of Discovery expansion?

World of Warcraft’s Season of Discovery expansion is set to include an innovative gameplay system, revamped content, and a progressive leveling system. Discovering hidden secrets across Azeroth is at the core of this expansion, giving players access to class-altering abilities that redefine their roles.

Players can also further customize their characters with rune engraving, a new gameplay feature introduced in the expansion. Adding an unprecedented level of depth to character development, players can unlock new abilities by engraving runes onto their gear. This will also let them fight in different roles that don’t ultimately depend on classes (more below).

The expansion will still emphasize leveling, but it will provide more bite-sized endgame experiences, allowing players to enjoy the journey without getting bogged down in excessive leveling. As part of the experience, open-world questing provides opportunities to discover hidden secrets and progress toward the next endgame milestone.

The Blackfathom Deeps raid will be reimagined at level 25, where players will face a revamped level 25 endgame. With new and reimagined bosses, mechanics, and rewards, this iconic dungeon has been transformed into a challenging endgame experience.

The Season of Discovery adopts a progressive leveling system, releasing new endgame content incrementally. Players will experience fresh challenges and rewards throughout the expansion as a result of this approach. Each phase will introduce more dungeons, raids, and endgame activities as the level cap increases.

What are the new class roles for Season of Discovery?

As mentioned above, the new class spells from the Rune Engraving System will let some players change the way they party with classes. We’ve got a table that will show you what roles can be achieved from each class.
