The official Xbox twitter account has just revealed the artwork and sweepstakes information for a tie-in with the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel to Doctor Strange.

Here’s the tweet, showcasing the art design for the exclusive console and four unique controllers:

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases on May 6th, and is one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU. Audiences are still primed for more multiverse action after Spider-Man No Way Home, which proved that fan service can also fit the story in a meaningful way.

The tie-in console is a customized Xbox Series S, featuring “Gargantos”. The villainous octopus really resembles Shuma-Gorath from the classic Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, a fighting series that focuses on big combos.

But in fact, the Gargantos character just has a similar design to Shuma-Gorath, and Gargantos barely showed up in the actual Marvel comics for a couple of issues. That may seem odd for such a high-profile movie, but it does allow more artistic freedom in the story.

Controller Artwork and Character rundown

The controller designs feature recognizable elements from the suits of Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Wong, and America Chavez.

As a result, Doctor Strange’s controller is the most intricate and engaging, especially since his cape has become a beloved character on its own.

The designs for Wong and Scarlet Witch are more subdued, since their suits are less complicated, but it’s neat nonetheless. For casual fans who may feel confused, the starry controller that’s red, white and blue does not represent Captain America.

Instead, the suit belongs to America Chavez. She’s a new addition for the MCU, and the first Latin-American LGBTQ+ character in the franchise.

Fans will have a chance to win the console and all four controllers by retweeting the announcement! But Xbox also links to the official rules, to make everything clear.

This is a massive step up from the last sweepstakes that tied in with Shang-Chi, which only offered one controller with the console. Also, the new artwork definitely involved more effort, with more elaborate details and colors.
