Xbox’s official Twitter account has just revealed a new showcase for upcoming releases, including Bethesda, scheduled for June 12th at 10AM PT/1PM ET. It’ll be streamed on many different platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook and even TikTok.
Here’s the tweet and promotional image:
On Xbox Wire’s website, where you can find official news for their console and services, they also promise to share what games are planned on the Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.
This should be pretty exciting, since the Game Pass has evolved into a remarkable force. Its variety is satisfying, and there have been more Day One releases lately. It’s a great way to introduce indie games to mainstream audiences.
Bethesda and other partners
It’s also interesting to hear from Bethesda, who just established a way for players to transfer their Bethesda Launcher accounts to Steam (beginning April 27th).
Bethesda is best known for their Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises, which are still beloved behemoths in the business. However, Bethesda is also developing Starfield, an action RPG that seems to be aiming for unprecedented freedom in space.
The game has been in the news a lot lately, both official and unofficial. Just this week, on April 26th, the game’s official website revealed a third episode of “Into the Starfield” to discuss the music and sound design. But a former dev recently decided to leak some thoughts about the current development of the game.
Since the promotional image in Xbox’s tweet features the logo as a planet, it might be a hint to expect some more breaking news about Starfield.
Xbox also suggests there will be announcements from their “partners around the world”, which could span just about anything as Xbox continues to aggressively expand their relationships.
