Discord might have started out as a humble platform for gamers on PC, but it has evolved to have some functionality on every console. Xbox surprised fans when it was announced earlier this summer that it would allow players to stream to Discord groups for Insiders, but now the functionality is coming to all console owners sometime this week.

The news comes from a small update to the official announcement post on the Discord website, with Clyde user simply saying “This feature begins rolling out this week on all Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.” With today being the start of the work week, it’s likely safe to assume that Discord means by Friday, Sep. 8, with Sep. 10 as the latest date.

As previously stated when the Discord and Xbox streaming feature went live earlier this year, players will need to go into the Discord app on mobile or PC and connect their Xbox accounts. Once connected, they’ll be able to press the Xbox button on the controller to access the Discord menu where you can pick a channel to stream to.

Discord also teases the potential for more announcements from its partnerships coming by the end of the year. Before explaining how to connect your accounts, the post reads, “We are far from finished, and we’ll have more news to share alongside our friends at Xbox later this year.”
