Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a real-time RPG coming to Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct presentation showcases what players can expect from the game regarding combat, high-quality graphics, quests, storyline, and mechanics.
In this game, players will join Noah and Mio, who are members of two opposing nations of Keves and Agnus, on a journey through a vast open world. The purpose of their quest is to end the cycle of violence that has been plaguing the world. A group of six characters from these nations band together to awaken the Aionios colonies and expose the threat both countries face.
The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 world is expansive and contains massive and fantastical landscapes, which Xenoblade Chronicle fans will love as they connect to the larger Xenoblade Chronicles universe.
In terms of combat, each of the six characters can quickly enter real-time RPG combat and have unique skills and abilities. The group’s core members can immediately start battling against enemies by auto-attacking with their special weapons.
You must position your team members based on their weapons to maximize damage and debuffs. For example, placing an archer on the front lines would not be strategic. What’s interesting about combat in this game is that pairs of characters can interlink to form an Ouroboros capable of taking out the most dangerous enemies.
The base game for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is available for preorder on the Nintendo Switch store and costs USD 59.99. An Expansion Pass is available and is sold separately. The Expansion Pass for the game includes access to multiple waves of DLC content as they become available. The price for this is an additional USD 29.99.
