If you’re the lucky owner of a Steam Deck or you are still on the fence about it, then there’s an extra reason to get excited. Thanks to some great work from the people at Microsoft, it looks like you can now play your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through the Microsoft Edge Beta on Steam Deck! While your Steam library might be large, it’s hard to beat the many games you get access to by having an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

While it isn’t exactly plug-and-play, it doesn’t appear to be too difficult to get it working if you follow the tutorial that was posted on Reddit by MSFTMissy. As alluded to, you will need to install the Microsoft Edge Beta browser on your device, add it to Steam, and then run a bit of code through Konsole.

While Steam Deck can be a simple to use console, if you want to get the most out of it, you will need to get under the hood a bit and get your hands dirty. We do hope though that in the future, things like this will just be native to the machine.

If you’re really looking for a project, you can also install Windows on your device. However, it isn’t entirely recommended or a smooth experience just yet. So, think twice before making the jump if you aren’t comfortable troubleshooting.
