The PlayStation Blog Game of the Year Awards 2023 are now open for voting! This year, there are 18 categories to choose from, celebrating the best games and developers of the past 12 months.
The awards recognize the exceptional craft and hard work that have brought us a year of extraordinary gaming experiences, from captivating new characters to sublime soundtracks and stunning art direction.

You can vote for winners on the website. So, if you want to participate in the PlayStation Blog Game of the Year Awards, go there as soon as possible. Voting closes on Sunday, December 17, at 23:59pm PT; the winners will be announced later. The exact date of the announcement has not been stated.

You can find the complete list of nominees and vote in the polls on the PlayStation Blog, but the categories are:

  • Best New Character
  • Best Story
  • Best Graphical Showcase
  • Best Art Direction
  • Best Audio Design
  • Soundtrack of the Year
  • Best Accessibility Features
  • Best Use of DualSense
  • Best Multiplayer Experience
  • Best Ongoing Game
  • Best Expansion
  • Best Sports Game
  • Best Independent Game of the Year
  • PS VR2 Game of the Year
  • PS4 Game of the Year
  • PS5 Game of the Year
  • Studio of the Year
  • Most Anticipated PlayStation Game of 2024 and Beyond

These are a lot more categories than I expected, and it will take a minute to get through each. On top of the dozen or so options to pick in each category, you can add your own. An “other” option at the end of each list of choices lets you enter another game.

This should always be an option in voting because there is a chance that the poll creators miss a potential winner.
