For those who don’t know, Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel is the newest Yu-Gi-Oh game on the market. Konami released the free-to-play game in an effort to create one digital version of the TCG to be used for competitive play. The game features a ranked multiplayer ladder for players to climb and limited solo play content that rewards you upon completion.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel’s Newest Update
Now, thanks to Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel’s most recent update, players have even more solo content to experience. The update has added one new solo mode on top of the already pre-existing solo challenges available to players for free. Completing this new mode provides you with some rewards as well as insight to a deck archetype.
For those looking to take a break from PvP, the newly available solo mode follows the Weather Painters deck archetype. This deck uses the themes of weather such as powerful storms and hurricanes along with artistry like drawing and painting to create a unique visual archetype. Gameplay-wise, this deck is great at putting spells and traps on the field to really mess with your opponent.
This new solo gate tells the fluff story of this deck while also teaching you how it works through several gameplay challenges and AI duels.
All of this comes shortly after another huge milestone for the free-to-play card game. According to Konami, Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel has surpassed over 20 million downloads on PC, mobile and console in the game’s two-month-long lifespan. This is up over 10 million since their first milestone in February.
At the last milestone, players were given free gems, the game’s main card purchasing currency, for free. Be on the lookout for more free prizes to celebrate this game’s amazing success.
