Genshin Impact remains one of the most popular games around the world, and miHoYo continues to bring meaningful updates to the well-known franchise. While this release isn’t going to be new, it is going to bring a couple of well-known and sought after characters back to availability. You will very soon be able to make wishes on banners that will contain either Zhongli or Ganyu, and we’ll tell you exactly when you can expect to be able to get them!
Zhongli & Ganyu Release Time & Date
The Zhongli and Ganyu banners have a set release date of January 25th, 2022. As for the release time, that will depend on where you live in the world. Here’s a look at how they breakdown:
- EU Servers – 5:00 PM GMT
- NA Servers (US & Canada) – 3:00 PM PT, 4:00 PM MT, 5:00 PM CT, and 6:00 PM ET

There are two banners returning to Genshin Impact on January 25th, 2022. These contain two pretty valuable 5-star characters, so expect many players to be making a whole lot of wishes.
Zhongli Banner
This rerun banner of Zongli is known as the Gentry of Hermitage and has been released a couple of times in the past. These are set to give you a chance to get some well-known characters that you might have missed, whether you were just unlucky or if you weren’t playing at the time.
Zhongli is a highly sought after 5-star Geo character who is considered by many to be one of the top heroes in the game. He will be a great addition to your team if you’re looking to fill a utility spot!
Xinqiu, Beidou, and Yanfei are also available via this banner with a significant boost to their drop-rates.
Ganyu Banner
Another of the rerun banners is Adrift in the Harbor, which will feature the rerelease of Ganyu! This banner has only been released once in the past, and is making a reappearance nearly a year later. Ganyu is very well-known for being a character who was extremely powerful upon their initial release.
Ganyu is going to be another character players will be pretty desperately trying to nab for their team. She is a 5-star Cryo hero that looks to be one of the top dps characters in the game. If you want to have a powerful Cryo user dishing out damage on your team, she will make a great addition.
