Publisher Astrolabe Games and developer AeonSparx Interactive have just announced that the fast-paced action-adventure game, Zombie Soup, will enter the early access phase next month.

Zombie Soup combines elements of top-down shooters, hack-and-slash action, and puzzle-solving into a single experience. It follows the thrilling adventure of Ricky, a backpacker who was thrown into an unfamiliar town. In order to rescue a girl named Ashley, Ricky has to fight his way through swarms of bizarre creatures and challenging bosses while dodging their attacks and firing his weapon. In addition to boss fights, Ricky will also encounter carefully designed timed challenges throughout the zombie apocalypse adventure. These challenges will demand a lot of effort, but players will be able to unlock more powerful weapons upon completion.

According to the latest announcement on Zombie Soup‘s Steam page, the game is set to launch in Early Access on June 7 for PC. During this phase, players will have the opportunity to experience 10 hours of content. The game will feature fully implemented levels as well as a wide range of weapons, and monsters for players to challenge. Over 50 different weapons will be available for players to unlock as they traverse through the town, including some of the zombie apocalypse survivalists’ favorites such as felling axe, katana, shotgun, and more unexpected self-defense tools.

Astrolabe Games has yet to reveal how long Zombie Soup will remain in early access but it is likely that the developers will keep the game in this phase until they gather a substantial amount of valuable feedback and insights from the player community, ensuring a refined full release.

You may add Zombie Soup to your Steam wishlist to be notified as soon as it becomes available. A demo is also available now for those who want to try out some of the game’s action.
