The Age of Empires developers have promised a live stream to explain what they will do this year. It airs on February 23, 2024, as the team behind the popular real-time strategy series will host a live stream event called “New Year, New Age.” During the stream, which kicks off at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET, the developers will be showcasing what players can expect throughout the year. This includes sneak peeks at upcoming titles and updates for existing games.
According to the blog post announcing this, one of the highlights of the stream will be a first look at Age of Empires Mobile, a new title being developed by TiMi Studios. The team will also offer a behind-the-scenes look at their development process and share their vision for bringing the Age of Empires experience to mobile gamers.
There will also be some news for Age of Mythology. Age of Mythology: Retold is a reimagining of the classic game that lived alongside Age of Empires. The developers will provide a preview of some mythological creatures that will be featured in the game.
There will be plenty to see for the mainline series of Age of Empires titles, which is the main highlight. The stream will include reveals of a new campaign-focused expansion for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. There will also be DLC with new civilizations for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition, and updates on a new season, and in-game rewards for Age of Empires IV.
The event will be hosted on the official Age of Empires channels on Twitch, YouTube, Steam, Bilibili, HuyaTV, and DouyuTV. Additionally, streamer Welyn, who hosted the Age of Empires 25th-anniversary show, will be providing expert commentary and reactions throughout the stream.
