Will Baldur’s Gate 3 Release on PlayStation 4?

Unfortunately, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be exclusive to Sony’s latest console, leaving PlayStation 4 users behind. There are currently no plans for a last-gen release. Considering the additional effort to make Baldur’s Gate 3 run at 60fps on the PS5, it’s understandable why it won’t be available on the PS4.

Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Game Description

Friendship, deceit, sacrifice, survival, and the allure of ultimate power take center stage. You find unusual abilities awakening in you due to a mind flayer parasite inside your brain. Will you combat its influence, using the darkness to your benefit, or succumb and become a manifestation of absolute evil?

From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2, Larian Studios presents a next-gen RPG set in the vast Dungeons & Dragons universe. Baldur’s Gate 3 combines choice-driven storytelling, deep role-playing, and intense character dynamics against a mesmerizing, interactive backdrop.

Your odyssey begins with a kidnapping and a sinister infection, leading to feelings of estrangement. As you morph into a creature, this growing corruption boosts your power – a strength that may aid your survival but at a steep price. Amid conflicts involving gods, devils, and malevolent entities, the bonds of trust you develop within your party may be your most potent weapon. The fate of the Forgotten Realms rests with you.

Using the Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 introduces unparalleled freedom in a world filled with intrigue, danger, and characters. This immersive, cinematic tale places you at its epicenter. Delve into shadowy forests, mysterious Underdark caverns, and the vast city of Baldur’s Gate. Your deeds shape the journey, but your decisions carve out your legend.

The Forgotten Realms teem with undiscovered secrets. Execute actions like sneaking, climbing, and jumping as you traverse from the deep Underdark to Baldur’s Gate’s gleaming rooftops. Every choice you make etches a mark, influencing your legacy, forming bonds, and resolving challenges in your distinct style.

Engage in group combat, undertake solo missions, and even introduce unpredictable events, because relationships can get tricky, especially with a brain parasite. The game showcases seven distinct Origin heroes, with intertwined tales. Play as one, or have them as allies.

Leveraging the D&D 5e ruleset, the game brings team-focused initiative, pros and cons in combat, and roll modifiers, enhanced by a sophisticated AI and rich environment interactions. Multiple difficulty levels ensure combat caters to your preference.

With over 600 spells and actions, the game’s character creation system lets you interact in a detailed world. Opt from various races and classes to craft your persona’s identity, ensuring every game session is a fresh cinematic experience.

As Baldur’s Gate faces the impending threats of war and a mind flayer assault, friendships will be forged. The destiny of these bonds lies in your actions and interactions. Your allies each have distinct moral standpoints, affected by your choices. Will you remain staunch in your beliefs or let emotions guide you? These relationships offer both solace and vital choices on your quest.

This whole thing is wrong. Launch is 9/6, not 9/5. I just check the PlayStation store (I’m EST) and it’s not available yet.

The whole thing wasn’t wrong. The countdown was right, but the listed times by region were incorrect. They’ve now been fixed, thanks.
