Botany Manor is a game coming to Game Pass the day it releases, and Xbox has given us many details. It’s a puzzle adventure game that provides players with the chance to explore a large estate with many plants and overgrown grass.
Botany Manor takes place in 19th-century England and centers around Arabella Greene, a retired botanist embarking on a journey to restore her manor’s forgotten plants to their former glory. Developed by Balloon Studios and published by Whitethorn Games, this puzzle adventure is set to release on Xbox Series X|S and will be available on day one with Game Pass in Spring 2024.
You’ll uncover clues hidden amidst Arabella’s research notes, books, and personal belongings as you explore the manor’s serene grounds and meticulously crafted interiors. Each plant requires a unique set of conditions to flourish, from simulating lightning storms to recreating volcanic landscapes. The puzzles seamlessly blend into the narrative, providing insights into Arabella’s life, career, and the challenges faced by women scientists during the 19th century.
Botany Manor is different from what you’d expect. Instead of being full of danger or consequences, it is described as “tranquil.” There are no time constraints, and the overall game is more of a way to relax, so it doesn’t seem to have many significant features to show off.
