Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is currently the apex of Call of Duty multiplayer experiences, and is the culmination of years of CoD multiplayer development by Activision. Alongside Warzone, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II features huge player counts and constant updates, both to the game and to rewards players can earn through playing.
Events, rewards and other updates are tracked in CoD through seasons. To the surprise of many, a trailer for the newest season was just leaked online, giving players a look at everything new coming soon to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
The leaked trailer was posted on Twitter this morning by @JC_RoseThorn. The video, which appears to be made for an Xbox showcase in China, gives us a look at everything coming with the new season as well as the date of its release.
While all of the text for the trailer is in chinese, it features complete english voice acting, meaning english speaking players will have no problem experencing most of the trailer.
In the trailer, we get to see some new skins available to players alongside the season’s battlepass. Many players are commenting that one of these skins, which features an operator in a black cloak and golden mask, is very similar to the character Higgs from Death Stranding.
Notably, the trailer also gives us a look at a brand new Raid coming to CoD. Raids were recently introduced to CoD, and feature a highly challenging mission environment similar to an MMORPG dungeon. Teams of three will be able to take on this new Raid together once the season launches.
Alongside this leak, the icon for Call of Duty: Mobile has changed in the play store. This is notable, as it comes alongside the recent news that Call of Duty: Mobile support will be phased out for the new Warzone Mobile.
