Call of Duty will officially feature Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir in the upcoming crossover with hit superhero series The Boys, as seen in a new teaser trailer. The big collaboration is set to roll out with a new update later this week on July 12th, 2023. The addition of any other familiar characters has not been confirmed.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Today’s new teaser trailer was first revealed via The Boys’ official Twitter feed:

The Boys remains one of the most reinvigorating twists on the superhero genre, which is more expansive than ever, to the point of exhaustion for some. Its clever wit and commentary have resulted in some of the most iconic characters, in a world full of ambiguity and unapologetic violence.

Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir are all ideal selections to join Call of Duty, given the context of the show. They’re certainly capable of bloody mayhem, and already look like intimidating operators. Although superhumans might seem a little out of place at first, Call of Duty is actually no stranger to the fantastic. For example, last year Call of Duty featured the Godzilla vs. Kong event.

Sadly, today’s teaser doesn’t actually reveal any gameplay. Instead, fans only get a brief glimpse of the operators, but the outfits do look authentic enough. The teaser also has a fine sense of humor, with some nods to the lore of the actual show that fans will appreciate.

Most recently, Infinity Ward also announced a new Barcelona team in Spain, and a closer relationship with Digital Legends, although Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera will shut down in September.
