Capcom has officially announced the availability of the Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective demo version on all platforms. This announcement brings the unique mystery puzzle game closer to fans worldwide as they await the full version’s release.
The demo version allows players to experience up to Chapter 2 of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Capcom ensures that saved data from this version can be carried over to the full game, enabling players to seamlessly continue their journey upon purchasing the full version. As an additional incentive, having saved data from the demo will unlock two screen backgrounds (Sissel and Town) and a music track titled “Ghost Trick” in the full game.

Set in a mysterious, high-definition world, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective offers a rich, puzzle-packed experience. The game’s plot follows a character named Sissel, who wakes up as a ghost after a bullet takes his life in a dark city. Faced with questions about his identity, his killer, and the reason behind his murder, Sissel embarks on a mission to unravel these mysteries before sunrise. By leveraging the powers of the dead, such as possessing and manipulating objects and rewinding time, players can solve puzzles and progress through a story filled with quirky humor and captivating characters.
This game, a high-definition remaster of the classic mystery puzzle game, is directed by Shu Takumi, the creator behind the popular Ace Attorney series. It boasts upgraded visuals and sound, enhanced with new music arrangements by Yasumasa Kitagawa, the acclaimed composer for the Great Ace Attorney. Notably, the new musical arrangements synchronize perfectly with the original score, allowing players to switch between them during gameplay.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on June 30. Until then, players can dive into the demo version to start their journey into this engaging world of mystery and puzzles.
