A wealth of new content is coming to Dead by Daylight according to the latest dev posts and leaks. Not only have we gotten a glimpse at a new survivor and killer, with even more coming in the confirmed second Resident Evil expansion pack, but Dead by Daylight has gone so far as to even redesign the main menus’ layout.
This information was pointed out by YouTuber Dstrike in his video, but anyone with access to the Dead by Daylight public test client can see it for themselves. The brand new menu features a sleeker, modernized design, taking up much less space on the screen and shuffling the menu buttons off to the side to give players a better look at the survivors and killer featured in the title screen.
Overall, the new main menu features much less visual clutter on the screen, and is similar to the other left-side menus featured in the Killer and Survivor selection screens. Though the look is definitely sleek, some players are already disappointed with the change, saying they far prefer the old menus.
This, in addition to the flood of new content recently announced by Dead by Daylight, is surely an effort to modernize the game and keep it relevant. Through updates like this and quality of life changes, Dead by Daylight has certainly had no problem keeping a consistent player base since its original release in 2016.
