For players of Deep Rock Galactic, the work is never done. These space dwarves know all about working long hours without any breaks. However, now the higher-ups at Deep Rock have seen fit to give players a unique break from their everyday missions. But that doesn’t mean that the dwarves will be getting off work.
The people behind Deep Rock Galactic, Ghost Ship Games, have seen fit to award players with a new summer event. While the dwarves won’t be getting any time off, they will be getting to work somewhere a little more tropical. During the Space Beach Party event, players will get to try out new work and get rewarded with new company-approved hats.
Workers are invited by Deep Rock Galactic to take part in the Hoxxes Summer Cruise assignment. For those who don’t remember, Hoxxes is a planet partly covered in lava. Players will be able to enjoy some of the best sites that Hoxxes has to offer, while also getting deep into the planet during the event.
That’s not all, as the dwarves’ employer has approved two new hats that can be earned from the Hoxxes event. One is a flamingo floaty and the other is a coconut drink resting on the top of some palm leaves. Nothing says summer like wearing a cool drink and a flamingo on your head.
Management has also seen fit to change the in-game bar into vacation-themed decorations. While no one has been approved to take a vacation, this should allow players to experience just as much fun as if they did get time off. The management also makes it clear that this does not count as a real vacation and that the player will still need to work during this celebration.
While this isn’t exactly the vacation that the dwarves were hoping for, it’s the one they get. Hop into Deep Rock Galactic to get a feel for this company-sponsored non-vacation.
