Diablo 4 welcomes its first level 100 hardcore character, courtesy of the tenacity of Path of Exile streamer cArn_. Commanding a Barbarian character, cArn_ managed to outpace numerous well-established Diablo streamers, establishing a substantial lead in this high-stakes pursuit.
After the monumental feat, cArn_ took to Twitter to announce the victory, including the telling #Diablo4Hardcore tag, while also expressing gratitude to his supportive team.

cArn_’s commendable team, which includes Nugiyen, Zizaran, and Steelmage, holds notable rankings on the hardcore leaderboard. Despite celebrating cArn_’s achievement, these driven gamers swiftly returned to the gameplay, indicating a high probability of their ascent to the top of the leaderboard.
While this accomplishment signifies a shift in Diablo 4’s competitive landscape, it’s notable that the victory did not go as initially predicted. Many Diablo 4 enthusiasts had expected Wudijo, a renowned streamer, to claim this win due to his significant lead around level 50. However, now placed at sixth, he is ranked just above the popular FPS streamer, Shroud.

Despite the current standings, it should be considered that Wudijo is tackling the challenge as a solo player, in contrast to the collective effort by cArn_ and his team. Therefore, the solo race still holds suspense, with Wudijo maintaining a promising position.
Before making waves in Diablo 4, cArn_ had established a solid gaming profile with victories in Dota and Starcraft 2 and success in several Path of Exile races. The skills garnered from these experiences evidently played a pivotal role in this latest achievement, although they also necessitated a gruelling sleep schedule.
