Slime Rancher 2 has just launched into its early access release, meaning players can finally experience the highly anticipated sequel to the slime farming simulator. While everyone is out rushing to raise the new array of colorful cute Slimes, there are still plenty of questions gone unanswered in this brand new title. Wondering if Slime Rancher 2 has multiplayer? This guide will answer that question for you.

Is there multiplayer in Slime Rancher 2?

Unfortunately, Slime Rancher 2 does not have any multiplayer support. Similar to the first game, it is a single-player-only experience, and as much as we may want to share the relaxing slime ranching experience with our friends and loved ones, it is not currently possible.

While multiplayer may not be currently available, players shouldn’t lose hope. Early Access games are released in an experimental state so that the developers can make changes based on the player experience. With enough feedback from the community, its possible that Slime Rancher 2 may add multiplayer support in the future.

If they don’t fret not. The original Slime Rancher has a very popular multiplayer mod, which allows players to play the ranching sim together. It is very likely that this same mod can and will be recreated for Slime Rancher 2 without much trouble, however, you shouldn’t expect to see this until the game is out of Early Access.

That’s everything you need to know about Slime Rancher 2’s multiplayer capacity! Leave a comment below letting us know how you’re enjoying the new Slime Rancher. If you liked this guide and want to see more, check out the rest of our website and keep an eye out for further Slime Rancher 2 guides.
