The developers of Dros, a story-adventure game, have confirmed its release date, marking July 20th as the day it becomes available on Steam and the Steam Deck. The development team has invested nearly four years in designing and refining the Dros universe, presenting a realm full of distinct characters, engaging puzzles, expansive lore, and an assortment of unique collectible items.

Dros is a detailed story-driven adventure, featuring a small slimy creature and her human bounty hunter protector. The narrative unfolds within a comprehensive steampunk tower, where players alternate between the characters, known as Little Dros and Captain, leveraging their diverse strengths and weaknesses. The gameplay involves puzzle-solving, enemy encounters, and stealth navigation through the Tower’s vast, intricate interior.

The game’s unique dual-character play mechanics require the strategic use of each character’s capabilities. As Little Dros, players are called upon to jump, squirm, and stealthily navigate around the Tower. On the other hand, Captain’s role primarily involves combat, fending off various foes encountered along the journey.

Dros presents a rich, fantasy narrative populated by a substantial cast of peculiar and captivating characters for players to interact with. As the exploration of the Tower advances, mysteries unravel, journal entries are unlocked, and strange alchemical treasures are discovered, progressively deepening the game’s lore.

The steampunk world of Dros teems with strange characters, each bearing their own narratives and personal struggles. In this setting, no character is purely good or entirely evil, imbuing the world with a complexity that resonates throughout the game’s narrative.

Puzzles form a significant part of the game’s appeal, alongside its adventure elements. As players venture through the Tower, they’ll need to use both their intellectual and combat skills to solve puzzles, combat enemies, and unearth alchemical treasures. Journal entries, which provide additional context to the world’s lore and character backstories, can also be unlocked, further enriching the Dros gaming experience.
