How do you get Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons?

There are two ways to get Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons. The first way is to buy them from The Merchant, which is really expensive. The second way is to get them from Challenges or from the Blood Moon event but they’re rare even still. These are the only two ways you can get Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons.

Keep in mind that the Corrupted Shards are not guaranteed by these methods. There is a chance that The Merchant will not have them in stock, and it’s extremely difficult to get Corrupted Shards from Challenges and the Blood Moon event. They are so rare because they enable you to upgrade your weapons and elements to be much more powerful.

What do you do with Corrupted Shards in Elemental Dungeons?

You use Corrupted Shards to corrupt weapons and elements in Elemental Dungeons. There is a 33 percent chance for you to actually corrupt your item. If it fails you’ll only use the corrupted shard, not the item. You have to be level 75 to corrupt your weapons, armor, and elements.

To corrupt items, go to the hole next to the stairs in town and fall in (shown above). Inside, you will see a Corruption merchant. Interact with them and press Proceed, you’ll be shown how many Corrupted Shards you have on the right. Press the Plus and add the item you want to corrupt.

Keep in mind that you cannot corrupt necklaces, rings, or anything that gives boosts. If you did this right, then your item will shine purple, and have a purple name.
