Developers of the rogue-lite tactical action game Endless Dungeon have announced a delay in the game’s release date to October 19th. The decision to postpone the launch affects all versions, including PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S, while the Nintendo Switch version’s release date will be announced at a later time. The team cites the need for extra time to polish the game and address player feedback as the primary reason for the delay.

Several factors have contributed to the decision, including the desire to improve the game’s overall polish and fix existing bugs to provide a smoother gaming experience upon release. Additionally, the developers have been gathering feedback from the OpenDev sessions, and they wish to dedicate more time to refining key aspects of the game, such as meta progression, game economy, and overall balancing.

General Manager and CCO Romain de Waubert has expressed gratitude to the players and emphasized the importance of the extra time to ensure the game reaches its full potential. To show appreciation for their patience, the developers will offer three additional skins for free to those who pre-ordered the game and early buyers when it is released.

The Closed Beta, unlocked by pre-ordering the Last Wish Edition, will still take place, with plans to hold it around September. In the meantime, closed playtests are ongoing, and more players may be invited to participate in the future. Updates on these opportunities will be announced through the developers’ blogs and social media.

Players who wish to cancel their pre-orders can receive refunds where applicable, in line with platform policy. For any issues, they can reach out to help@sega.co.uk. As for the game’s compatibility with Steam Deck, the developers are currently working on optimization and control schemes to achieve green check verification. Co-op mode will feature shared progression, with only quest progression being individual to each player’s profile.
