Auric Rod Unlock Guide – Fisch

To unlock the Auric Rod in Fisch, you’ll need to find and open a Sunken Treasure Chest. These chests are a new feature in the game, added specifically for the Golden Tide Event. They function similarly to the default treasure chests you find using Treasure Maps, but they appear randomly when playing. Once you find one, there’s a chance it might contain the Auric Rod.

How to Get Sunken Treasure Chests in Fisch

The Sunken Treasure Chest is a rare spawn that can appear anytime while you’re playing. Before one spawns, you’ll get an in-game notification saying, “Sunken treasure has appeared near XYZ island.” When you see this message, head straight to the coast of the mentioned island.

Once you arrive, look for the chests floating among broken wooden planks. These treasures usually spawn in groups of 4 to 5 chests, giving you multiple chances to loot them. To open them, just move close and interact with each one. Depending on the rarity of the chest, you can earn rewards like:

  • Money
  • Titles
  • Totems
  • Relics
  • Baits
  • And, if you’re lucky, the Auric Rod

Identifying Chest Rarities

Each Sunken Treasure Chest has a rarity level, which determines the quality of the loot inside. You can identify rarities by the color of the chest:

  • Purple and Red chests are the rarest and most likely to contain the best loot, including the Auric Rod.

For the best odds of getting an Auric Rod, open as many Purple and Red chests as possible. It’s also a good idea to play on x8 Luck Servers, as this can improve your chances.

Auric Rod Stats and Showcase

The Auric Rod offers the following benefits:

  • Lure Speed: 20%
  • Luck: 25%
  • Control: 0.05
  • Resilience: 20%
  • Max Kg: 2500 Kg

This rod, introduced in update 1.14.0, comes with a sleek design featuring a scarlet red rod and reel, accented with a green tip. What sets the Auric Rod apart is its unique ability to multiply a fish’s value by 2x to 6x, making it incredibly useful for catching high-value fish like Colossal Squid and Whale Shark. However, it’s important to note that this rod does not support weights above 2,500 Kg, so it won’t help with certain heavy fish, such as the Ancient Depth Serpent.

Best Enchantments for the Auric Rod in Fisch

While the Auric Rod has decent stats, some enchantments can make it even better. Here’s a breakdown of the best options:

  1. Quality
    • Enhances Luck, Resilience, and Speed, making it the most balanced choice for this rod.
  2. Herculean/Unbreakable
    • Increases the max weight capacity, allowing you to handle larger fish more efficiently. This is especially useful when farming rarer fish, as the rod’s value-multiplying ability works best with high-value catches.
  3. Controlled
    • Expands the size of the control bar, compensating for the rod’s low Control stat. This makes it easier to reel in tricky fish.
  4. Mystical/Resilient
    • Improves the rod’s Resilience stat, which helps you handle fish that put up more of a fight.

The Auric Rod may require patience and a bit of luck to obtain, but its unique features make it a valuable tool for any serious angler in Fisch.
