Yesterday at Summer Game Fest, Fortnite finally showed players their first look at Chapter Four, season three inside the game, showing dinosaurs, robots, and Doctor Slone making a surprise return. Several hours later, Epic Games revealed the gameplay trailer, giving an even better look inside the upcoming season and all its incredibly wild features.

In the trailer, the different battle pass skins can be seen running across the island using the new traversal abilities like rideable raptors and vines in the jungle. That’s not all, as there also seem to be new weapons like the ones shown in Fortnite’s cinematic trailer at SGF, but also some kind of stealth weapon that Relik and another character use at around 41 seconds into the video.

For only a minute long, the trailer is jam-packed with details that data miners are still uncovering on Twitter right now. For example, players are given a better look at the upcoming guns, including a heat-seeking sniper rifle, as well as the two other rifles that were seemingly revealed yesterday.

Arguably what’s going to be the most impressive part of this season is seeing how big of a map change this new jungle is and how players adapt to the canopies, which may work as a second layer to run around if it’s as prominent as it appears in the trailer.

That being said, there don’t seem to be any big “wow” moments that are typical from Fortnite‘s gameplay trailers, outside of maybe the Optimus Prime mythic. Even then we’ll need to see how it plays before we come to any final conclusions.

Epic has a pretty strong track record when it comes to seasons, but many players were disappointed after last year’s Summer season and event, with Dragon Ball being a huge reason many came back. It would be great if Fortnite was able to bounce back with another memorable summer event, but many fans are waiting to see it.
