Fortnite has built itself up in the last few years as a great place for brands to be able to showcase their characters and the best parts of the IP. There have been rumors about a Doctor Who collaboration since the Creative level last year and it was allegedly leaked to be coming in the fall of this year. However, it’s now been leaked that it has been pushed into December 2023 or early 2024.

The Fortnite and Doctor Who collab was leaked by data miners to be coming in November a couple of months ago, but there were also leaks about developer Epic Games shifting focus to more profitable efforts. According to known leaker FNBRIntel, Epic has decided to push it back to December 2023 or even to some time at the start of next year, which will likely be during Chapter Five.

Many fans took to the replies of the post and ShiinaBR showing their disappointment over the delay, but it’s better than it being canceled altogether. In a game full of anime and Marvel collaborations, something for the fans of the classic British TV show will likely mean the world. Not only that but the reality and world-hopping Doctor will fit right in with the Loopers, although it’s hard to imagine him holding a gun.

There may be some good news, though, as it seems unlikely Epic would need to push back a release date for a collaboration that just involves cosmetics. If the seasons were suddenly to change over, Epic would just move the release to the next available day, as it has with esports competitions in the past.
