Genshin Impact is currently running the last phase of version 3.5, which means it’s the perfect time to learn more about the next update. As such, a Special Program for the next update, version 3.6, has recently gone live to showcase all the exciting new content arriving in HoYoverse‘s hit open-world action RPG.
As with the previous Special Program, the latest broadcast began with the unveiling of Event Wish banners and an overview of the latest addition to the playable Genshin Impact characters. Nahida and Nilo’s rerun banners are set to go live during Phase 1 of version 3.6, while Baizhu and Kaveh’s banners will run alongside Ganyu’s rerun banner in Phase 2 of the update.
The first new character introduced during the 3.6 Special Program is Baizhu, the Liyue character who has been revealed since version 1.0. Baizhu is a 5-star Dendro vision holder and a Catalyst wielder. He will also have his own Story Quest, allowing players to learn more about the Liyue’s doctor. Afterward, an overview of Sumeru’s renowned architect, Kaveh, was presented. Kaveh is an upcoming 4-star Dendro character and a Claymore wielder.
Genshin Impact version 3.6 also comes with a slew of new events, offering more Primogems and other incredible rewards. The Parade of Providence event is among the highlights of version 3.6. It is a celebration of the Akademiya Extravaganza and consists of two main parts. The first portion of the event will consist of six different minigames, each of which will be themed after one of the Six Darshans. The second portion of the event will be a grand competition, and one representative from each of the Darshans will be selected to take part in it.
With version 3.6, the Overflowing Mastery event will also return, and the anticipated Layla’s Hangout event will become available. In addition, the latest update of Genshin Impact will also open a new area situated in the deep desert of Sumeru, revealed to have relations with Khaenri’ah.
Genshin Impact version 3.6 is packed with a variety of exciting content, but the new area is sure to stand out as it explores the lore of Sumeru and its link with Khaenri’ah and the Cataclysm. The new events are also exciting as they are mostly unique from those in previous versions, especially the variety of minigames that the Akademiya Extravaganza offers.
Travelers will still have time to collect more rewards and Primogems in version 3.5’s last round of events, as version 3.6 of Genshin Impact is scheduled for release on April 12.
