GrimGrimoire OnceMore is a remaster of the original 2007 GrimGrimoire, developed by Vanillaware and published by Nippon Ichi Software. It is a 2D side-scrolling real-time strategy video game that combines Vanillaware’s fantasy worldbuilding and intricate storytelling with new and improved gameplay.

Similar to the original game, GrimGrimoire OneMore allows players to take the role of trainee witch Lillet Blan, who commands the action while the multi-floored battlefield is depicted from a side-scrolling viewpoint. The latest gameplay trailer provided more details on the fundamentals of battling as a magician, which includes on-field basics or carrying out Missions.
During Missions, familiars, Runes, and Mana Crystals will be essential for players to use. Mana Crystals are used to create Runes, which may then be used to summon familiars. As Lillet Blan, players will command their familiars to explore, gather Mana, and attack foes, among other things.
Each familiar in GrimGrimoire OneMore is categorized into one of 4 schools of magic, such as Glamour, Sorcery, Necromancy, and Alchemy. Some familiars can gather resources, while others are tasked with engaging in battle. There are even more powerful familiars that possess unique abilities.
When carrying out missions in GrimGrimoire OneMore, it is highly advised to employ proper management of Mana, unit limits, and unit costs. Each school of magic also has strengths and weaknesses, so it is important to develop a strategy before launching an attack.

Fans of the classic strategy RPG will surely enjoy the game even more, owing to its improved gameplay and enchantingly enhanced visuals as well as an altered screen ratio and updated resolution.
GrimGrimoire OnceMore is scheduled to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on April 7th, 2023.
