The Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion has been released into Hearthstone on December 7th, 2021. With this set comes some new and exciting decks to try out. One of the early standouts so far is an OTK deck list that uses a very large OWL to deal quite a bit of damage to the opponent. If you want to know how the combo works and why you should be playing this deck, we’ve got the details you need.

Dog’s OWL OTK Warlock
This is the list that Dog has been using on his stream. It’s possible that it will be more refined in the future, but on day one of the expansion it has been working quite well.

OWL OTK Combo Explained
The combo in the OWL OTK Warlock deck is done with the Humongous Owl, Tamsin’s Phylactery, some minions on the board, and an AOE. To get even more damage you can repeat the Tamsin’s Phylactery by having Tamsin Roame on the board.
To get this to work, you will need to get your Humongous Owl on the board and killed. You will then want to get some minions on the board, this can come in the shape of your 1-drops likes Armor Vendor and Tour Guide. You can also trade in your Wicked Shipment to get a bunch of Imps. Dreadlich Tamsin adds Rifts to your deck that drop 3/3 Imps on the board when drawn. Basically, there are many ways to accomplish this.
Now that you have minions and your owl killed, you will then want to play Tamsin's Phylactery and select the Owl’s Deathrattle. This will give the Owl’s Deathrattle to all of the minions on your board. You can then use an AOE like School Spirits to destroy your board and deal 8-damage towards your opponent’s board and face.
If you need to do it multiple times, then you will want to make sure to pair it with Tamsin Roame. This will add a copy that costs 0, which you can then use to add additional Deathrattle triggers to your minions. If all goes well, you should have more than enough damage to deal to your opponent!
The deck is quite good due to the amount of removal and card cycle that it has in it. Your Runed Mithril Rod will help you reduce the cards in your hand to help you get out the combo faster.
Having all of the removal means you should do quite well against aggressive decks. You also have cards that will gain you health, which gives you another advantage against aggro.
That’s everything to know currently about the OWL OTK Combo Deck in Hearthstone’s Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion. Be sure to check out the Hearthstone section of our website for more information on the game.
