Helldivers 2 players will be glad to hear that developer Arrowhead Game Studios has made two important fixes. The CEO announced a server increase last night, but the update was shown to be more than just a cap raise. The developers increased server capacity and sent out a patch to address a specific gameplay issue on top of other bugs.

In a recent message, CEO Johan Pilestedt announced an update to the game’s maximum concurrent user (CCU) cap, increasing it to a remarkable 700,000. Pilestedt acknowledged the assumption that this new cap might still be reached quickly but said this wasn’t the last cap raise.

His announcement last night was followed by the release of Patch 1.000.12 earlier today. This update primarily focuses on resolving a bug causing certain players to experience prolonged periods of being stuck in cinematics, disrupting the flow of gameplay. In addition, the patch confirms Pilestedt’s previously mentioned increase in server capacity.

Despite the good news, the patch notes also show a list of known problems that are still in the game. These vary from text missing in menus and login errors to disconnections, UI issues, and armor values not working as they should. The developers naming these issues show that it’s still on their list to fix.

Overall, the important part was fixing the server capacity. Many players have been wanting that, and I am sure it’s an important step to possibly bring the game to Xbox.

I covered the important bits of the patch, but anyone who wants to know all the little fixes can check the patch notes.
