With Sonic the Hedgehog tearing up the scene on Roblox and commanding an audience of over 100,000 players at once, it is no wonder that brands are seeking to make a mark on the platform. It appears one of the next well-known media entities will be Hello Kitty. The popular character, which has been around since the 1970s, has been a mainstay for fans for many years.
While the popularity of Hello Kitty spans generations, it is mainly targeted towards a younger audience, which is what makes the move make quite a bit of sense. While nothing official has been announced yet, eagle eyed Roblox Twitter news accounts spotted the My Hello Kitty Cafe game on the platform. According to the developers, Rock Panda Games, it looks like they are targeting a release at the end of April.

The game has been in-and-out of alpha testing since March, with the game being teased to little fanfare at the time. That will soon change now that the release appears to be forthcoming and it becomes known across the community.
Based on the official description of the game, it is described as a game where you will be running your own Hello Kitty-themed cafe. This is likely going to be similar to the developer’s popular game, My Supermarket. In that experience, you can hire staff, customize your store, and attempt to gain as many customers as possible. This has been a fairly popular genre of games on Roblox, so as long as it is playable, it should do well.
Fans of Hello Kitty and Roblox will also be able to get themselves some accessories. While they aren’t available yet, five Hello Kitty themed items have been added to the Roblox avatar shop. These include the Tuxedo Sam Backpack, Kuromi head band, Cinnamoroll Backpack, Pompompurin Vest, and Hello Kitty Hat. These items were just added today, so an official announcement from the brand seems like it should be on the way soon!
