Squanch Games surprised everyone when High On Life was a monumental success when it launched exclusively for Xbox and PC in December 2022. While it has remained on Xbox Game Pass, the developers have surprised everyone by making High on Life available today on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

It has only been seven months since the title was released on Xbox, seeing enough success to launch a new High on Life DLC centered around Knifey. Players who want to purchase the game can do so by visiting the link to the PlayStation Store in the announcement tweet, which comes alongside a new trailer with a new song, showing many of the bosses and different characters players will fight against.

Squanch Games was founded in August 2016 by Justin Roiland before he was forced to leave due to allegations in 2023. Before that, the company was able to release Trover Saves the World and High on Life, both featuring Roiland as the main protagonist. While the developer seemed to have its eye on VR at the start, it moved away with High on Life in favor of a strong indie title.

High on Life did considerably well when it launched, with Xbox announcing that it had become the most played title on the platform the week it released and fourth most played title overall. Xbox VP of Marketing Aaron Greenberg even heralded it as “a breakout hit.”
