Houndstone Weaknesses
Houndstone is a Ghost-type Pokemon, which means they have weaknesses to Ghost and Dark-type moves. It has immunities to Normal and Fighting moves, and is resistant to Poison and Bug-type attacks.
While any Ghost and Dark-type moves will be sufficient to finish off Houndstone, you will want to focus on Special Attack moves if you have them. Houndstone has slightly higher Physical Defense, which means you will have much better luck using Special Attacks.
As for specific Pokemon you want to avoid bringing into battle against Houndstone, you will want to make sure to leave Ghost and Psychic out, which are weak to the Ghost-type attacks. Houndstone gets the Fairy move Play Rough at level 36, so be careful with Fighting, Dark, and Dragon Pokemon which are susceptible to it.
