How to change Pokemon team in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a totally new approach to Pokemon, and you will find quite a few differences with the game as you play it. One of these things you might not be used to is how to change up your team. Normally, you would be able to switch a Pokemon that you catch into your team immediately. That’s not the case in this game, you will have to do a bit of travel to swap out members of your squad.

Changing Your Team

To change your team in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you can go to a camp that is marked as a blue tent icon on your map when you’re on an expedition. Talk to the Galaxy Member who will allow you to edit your Pokemon. Alternatively, if you’re at Jubilife Village, you can go to the Pasture area and edit your team there.

You will setup camps at various points on the map which you can fast travel to. The professor will be located there as well as a Galaxy Member NPC, who you can talk to for a variety of services. You can rest and restore your Pokemon’s health and status, change your team, and shop for items.

When you’re at Jubilife Village, you can head over to the Pasture area, which is to your immediate left when you fast travel into the area. Talk to Marie and tell her that you have some Pokemon you want to leave with her. Select the Pokemon you would like to add to your team and pick the Move option. Bring it over to the Pokemon you want to remove, and hit the A-button to swap them out for each other!
