For a long time, many users of Roblox were unable to change their group name. These days are now over, because the platform has now enabled the ability for all users to be able change it! Unfortunately, it’s not a free process, but you can spend a small amount of Robux to change it to a different name. Edit Your Group Name
To change your Roblox group name, you will need to go to your group page and hit the three dots on the top right of the page to open a drop down menu. Select the Configure Group option, which will bring you to the information page. Click on the edit button next to name, and then add the new group name to the textbox. Pay the 100 Robux and you will have changed your group’s name!
Your Groups page should appear in the Groups section of the Roblox section and application. On the side of that screen the groups you are owner of should be at the top. Select the one you want to edit and you will be brought to the page. You can then hit the three dots and then Configure Group.
Scroll down past the emblem and description areas to find the edit Name button.
You can now input the new name into the textbox. Make sure it is exactly how you want it, because you won’t be able to change it again for 90 days. It also needs to be appropriate, it will be run through Roblox’s moderation filter. Check the box and then click on the green 100 Robux button to complete the change!
Here are some of the basic rules behind changing the name:
- It costs 100 Robux each time
- You can only change the name every 90 days
- Each member of your group will receive a message about the change
- Your previous group’s name will be available for use again after 90 days
- If someone searches for your old group’s name it won’t show up
- If the ownership of the group changes, the name can’t be changed for 90 days
