Adopt Me – How Do You Get A Trading License?
Thankfully, getting a Trading License is easy and doesn’t cost anything in Adopt Me! You don’t need to meet any special requirements or have a certain level to take the test, I did it on a new account right after starting. You do have to take a test, though, but that test is simple if you pay attention during it.

First, leave the neighborhood and go to the main hub of Adopt me. Next, go down the red bridge and head to your right. There’s a white tower that is the safety hub, you want to go in there.

Go down the stairs and walk through the door next to Agent Jake to take the test for your trading license. Walk forward and speak to Agent Alex to start your test. The tests give you examples of things that could happen in trading.

I was given examples of trading for an elephant for free, a trust trade (trust me, I’ll trade the other pet later), and an unfair trade. After each situation, a short description of the deal will show up with two buttons: “Scam” in red and “Safe” in green. Your goal is to figure out if the deal is real or if someone is trying to pull a scam and then to press the button for your answer.
When you’re done with each, you can walk forward a little further. At the end, a glass wall falls and you accept your trading license. It will be in your backpack from then on.
Tips for passing your Trading License test
- The short description can sometimes be tricky. So, it’s really important to look at the real situation carefully to make a smart choice.
- A really important rule for trading safely is making sure things are fair. If you’re in a situation where you’re giving away a really great pet but not getting anything good in return, it’s probably a trick.
- Don’t automatically assume that it’s a scam if someone is giving someone else a free pet. This happened to me during the test. One character offering another a free pet because they don’t want it anymore is a good thing. In this situation, it’s best to choose “Safe”.
