Fortnite is pretty well-known for the variety of items they add to the game to keep things fresh. One such item is the newly added Shield Keg, which was originally known as the Shield Sprinkler. Shield Keg Guide
To use the Shield Keg, you will need to find one and have it in your inventory. Select it and you will have it in your hand. Hit and hold the fire button, to aim where you want to throw it. The keg will then spray slurp in a small circular area, and any player that is standing in the area of the spray will gain 2 shields per half second. It will not heal your health, only your shields!
You can hold 2 of these at a time in your inventory. They can be broken, so if you are done using it and you don’t want an enemy to get any shields then you can destroy it!
The Shield Keg is very similar to a Campfire, but obviously it doesn’t spawn in fixed locations on the map.
How to get a Shield Keg
To get a Shield Keg in Fortnite, you can find it in chests, supply drops, floor loot, and everywhere else you can get loot. If you specifically want to seek out this item then the easiest way to get it is to go to the Lt. John Llama or The Scientist NPCs in the game. It is 250 Gold Bars for each Shield Keg you want to purchase.
You can find Lt. John Llama southwest of Logjam Lumberyard, across the lake, and just under the river.
The Scientist can be found at the northern part of the Sanctuary, which is far east in the middle of the map.
