Anime Defenders Divine Trait Crystal Guide

To get Divine Traits in Anime Defenders, you need Divine Trait Crystals. These special crystals let you re-roll an ability trait, giving you a chance to get a Divine Trait. They aren’t tradeable, so you have to earn them yourself.

How to Get Divine Trait Crystals

There are several ways to obtain Divine Trait Crystals, some more efficient than others:

Special Banners

The Special Banner is currently the most reliable method for getting Divine Trait Crystals. While they have a low drop rate (1.5%, similar to a Legendary unit), the Special Banner is your best bet if you’re specifically hunting for these crystals. Yet this does mean acquiring tons of Ancient Relics.

Infinite Mode (High Waves)

Infinite Mode has a chance to drop Divine Trait Crystals at higher waves (around wave 50+). While it’s not the fastest method, it’s good for multitasking – you can level up your units and potentially snag a crystal at the same time.

Quests

Certain quests, including Daily Quests and VIP quests, occasionally reward Divine Trait Crystals. Check your quest list regularly and prioritize those that offer crystals.

Challenges

Divine Trait Crystals have been added as a possible reward to Challenges now, so keep an eye out on the rewards and complete the ones that offer them. You are not guaranteed to get one that offers them as a reward since the rotation/refresh every hour.

Portals (Mythic – Secret)

Any portal from Mythic to Secret difficulty can drop 1-2 Divine Trait Crystals per completion. Demon Portals, in particular, are good for farming these, so using portal hardeners on Mythic portals so that you can use them again is a great method.

Raid Shop

The Raid Shop, which you can access using Ancient Relics, sometimes has Divine Trade Crystals in stock. You can buy them from the Halloween Raid Shop.

Are Divine Traits Worth the Grind in Anime Defenders?

Why bother with Divine Trait Crystals in Anime Defenders? Because Divine Traits are powerful and game-changing. They have significantly better stats than lower-tier traits and can greatly enhance your units’ abilities. For example, here are some of the new Divine Traits available:

  • Almighty: Increased drop rate (0.2% chance) compared to Mythic Traits (0.1%)
  • Warlord: +50% damage
  • Sonic: -30% cooldown on moves
  • Tank: +110% damage, -30% cooldown (with a downside)
  • Precis: +50% crit chance and crit damage
  • Requiem: +50% damage
  • Emperor: +140% boss damage, plus various other bonuses
  • Apex: +125% damage, plus other bonuses (currently considered the best trait)

Unlike other items, Divine Trait Crystals cannot be traded. This is intended to prevent alt farming and encourage players to earn them legitimately. You can trade Apex units but cannot trade for ones with Apex/Divine Traits.
