Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a totally new approach to Pokemon, and with it comes some differences you might not be used to. Evolution stones are generally found in the world as you play the game, but in this game while you can find them as loot, you can also get them much more reliably. If you’re wondering how, we’ll tell you in this guide!

Evolution Stones

To get all the different evolution stones in the game, you just need to go to the NPC named Simona. She offers all of the evolution stones for a variety of different Pokemon. Each one of the stones will cost you 1,000 Merit Points. Alternatively, you can get evolution stones from quests and find them in space-time distortions.

Simona is located in Jubilife City very close to the Galaxy Hall. You will see her station with the bright yellow flag and the Togepi on it. If you talk to her, just select the “I want to get items” option, and you will see all of the stones and evolution items.

The inventory includes the Fire, Water, Thunder, Leaf, Ice, Moon, Sun, Dawn, Dusk, and Shiny Stones. While the elemental stones cost 1,000 Merit Points, you will have to spend 1,200 on the Sun, Dawn, Dusk, and Shiny ones.

Evolution items are also included in this list, and can be purchased for 1,400 Merit Points. These are Magmarizer, Metal Coat, Razor Claw, Razor Fang, Reaper Cloth, and Protector. The Oval Stone is also available, but it only costs 400 Merit Points and Upgrade can be obtained for 1,000 Merit Points.

How to get Merit Points

You can get Merit Points by turning in Lost Satchels in the game. These are obtained by looking at the map and locating the icons shaped like suitcases. Head to the location of the icon, and you will find a Lost Satchel. These will generally be from NPCs, but if you have Nintendo Online, you will also find satchels from players that were KO’d.

Open up the trainer menu, and scroll to the side to locate Communications. From here, select “Lost & Found” and you will find the satchels you have located. Select one of them and hit the A button on it to turn it in. You will then be rewarded with Merit Points! You get around 50 – 100 for each Satchel you grab.

You do not need Nintendo Online for this to work, but if you have it you will likely be able to find more satchels since you will have players included as well.

Free Stones

Evolution stones can also be obtained by completing various quests, and seem to drop frequently inside of Space-time Distortions. These are bubbles that pop up now and again on the map. They are filled with angry Pokemon, with some from future generations. In these areas, you will find evolution stones as loot.

Free Eevee Evolutions

If you are looking to get Leafeon or Glaceon, there are ways to evolve your Eevee into either of these by heading to specific locations on the map.

The Leafeon evolution can be obtained by heading to the southern portion of the Obsidian Fieldlands map and to the west of the Grandtree Arena. You will find a Mossy Stone which you can interact with which will evolve Eevee into Leafeon.

For Glaceon, you will need to be a lot farther into the game and have reached the Alabaster Icelands. In the center of the map, south of Avalugg’s Legacy, you will find an icy cave that you can drop into and run through which will eventually lead to an Ice Rock. Go to your Pokemon list and Eevee should be ready to evolve! This will transform them into Glaceon.
