If you need help figuring out how to get the Jr. Slimes in Core Keeper, we have a detailed guide!
How to get Jr. Slimes in Core Keeper
To get Jr. Slimes in Core Keeper, you will need to defeat the various slime bosses found throughout the world, which each have a chance to drop a specific type of Oozy egg needed to hatch a Jr. Slime. There are four types of Jr. Slimes available in the game: Jr. Orange Slimes, Jr. Purple Slimes, Jr. Blue Slimes, and Jr. Lava Slimes.

How to get Jr. Orange Slimes
To get Jr. Orange Slimes, you’ll need to obtain an Oozy egg, which has a chance to drop after defeating Glurch the Abominous Mass. The Oozy Egg is described as a “mysterious, transparent egg.” It has a decent chance to drop off the boss (about 18% per the Wiki). You can find this boss in the Dirt Biome.
Once you’ve obtained an Oozy Egg, you can place it into the Incubator to transform into a Cracked Oozy Egg, which will give you the Jr. Orange Slime companion. This companion will slow down the movement speed by targets for four seconds and also do extra damage against bosses. It is described as an “oozy little friend that is ready for adventures underground.”
How to get Jr. Purple Slimes
To get Jr. Purple Slimes, you’ll need to obtain an Oozy Poison Egg, which has a chance to drop after defeating Ivy the Poisonous Mass. The Oozy Poison Egg is described as a “mysterious, transparent egg.” It has a decent chance to drop off the boss (about 13% per the Wiki). You can find this boss in the Azeos’ WIlderness.
Once you’ve obtained an Oozy Poison Egg, you can place it into the Incubator to transform into a Cracked Oozy Poison Egg, which will give you the Jr. Purple Slime companion. This companion has a chance to apply poison and reduce enemy healing along with doing extra damage against bosses. It is described as a “poisonous little friend that is ready for adventures underground.”
How to get Jr. Blue Slimes
To get Jr. Slippery Slimes, you’ll need to obtain an Oozy Slippery Egg, which has a chance to drop after defeating Igneous the Molten Mass. The Oozy Slippery Egg is described as a “mysterious, transparent egg.” It has a decent chance to drop off the boss (about 18% per the Wiki). You can find this boss in the Molten Quarry.
Once you’ve obtained an Oozy Slippery Egg, you can place it into the Incubator to transform into a Cracked Oozy Slippery Egg, which will give you the Jr. Blue Slime companion. This companion has a chance on hit to apply slippery movement and does extra damage against bosses. It is described as a “slippery little friend that is ready for adventures underground.”
How to get Jr. Lava Slimes
To get Jr. Lava Slimes, you’ll need to obtain an Oozy Lava Egg, which has a chance to drop after defeating Morpha the Aquatic Mass. The Oozy Lava Egg is described as a “mysterious, transparent egg.” It has a decent chance to drop off the boss (about 13% per the Wiki). You can find this boss in the Azeos’ Wilderness.
Once you’ve obtained an Oozy Lava Egg, you can place it into the Incubator to transform into a Cracked Oozy Lava Egg, which will give you the Jr. Lava Slime companion. This companion provides +2 glow along with extra damage against bosses and some melee damage. It is described as a “scorching little friend that is ready for adventures underground.”
Jr. Slimes are described as, “Baby Slimes in a variety of colours, each dealing damage associated with their fully-grown counterparts!” Remember, in order to hatch any of the eggs found in the world, you will need to craft the copper workbench (you can do so at the wood workbench), which was added in this update, so you can then craft the incubator. You will need to be patient before your egg will hatch in your incubator!
As you level up your pet–by taking them into combat with you or by giving it pet candy–you’ll be able to get different perks for your pet. You can roll for different perks or a different combination of perks to get the most out of your companion.
