Shadow Essence is essential for evolving your units in Anime Last Stand, inspired by the Solo Leveling anime and manga. You can use it to evolve Sunwoo (Bloodlust), Highclass Tanker, and Crimson Commander into better units using Shadow Essence. But how do you obtain Shadow Essence in Anime Last Stand?

Anime Last Stand Shadow Essence Guide

To get Shadow Essence in Anime Last Stand, you can purchase it at the Raid Shop for 45 Raid tokens, this is the only way to get Shadow Essence. Raid tokens are obtained as random drops upon raid completion, but completing the raid is necessary, but only in Stages 4-6.

To evolve all three characters, Sunwoo (Bloodlust) into Sunwoo (Winter), Highclass Tanker into Shadow Tanker, and Crimson Commander into Shadow Commander, you only need eight Shadow Essence. However, this amounts to 360 Raid Tokens.

This is quite a lot, considering how many Raid Tokens you get from completing Raids. You can receive between 1 and 12 Raid Tokens, depending on the stage you have completed. So, my advice is to grab a couple of friends and spend the day farming raids. Apparently if you hit the six Raid limited per day, leaving and coming back is meant to reset it, but it’s not guaranteed!
