How to get Steel Balls in Sports Story
To get Steel Balls in Sports Story, you will travel northeast, past the Lifeguard station towards the water’s edge; there is a small pier with a character next to two pyramids of golf balls. Speak to this character and then complete their first challenge (pop balloons using golf balls), and then speak to them again to unlock Steel Balls as an item. Steel Balls don’t travel as far as regular golf balls, but they help when you have to deal with crosswind.
You can get a free Steel Ball in a goodie bag given by a character wearing a blue shirt and blue baseball cap north of the Lifeguard station, near a pier by the white fence that says “PureStrike.” This character will be standing between two sets of balloons. The goodie bag will also contain a Skimmer Ball and a Vector Ball.
In the later game, you will be able to purchase them from the Golf Store at the mall.
