If you’ve been playing much Fortnite lately, you no doubt noticed some unfortunate login issues that took place in December 2021 that caused players to be unable to play. This was pretty unfortunate and fairly rare for Epic to have this happen, but the company is seeking to make amends for the problems. Crescent Shroom Pickaxe
To get the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe for free in Fortnite, you will have to have logged in during the Winterfest event that started on December 16th, 2021. If you logged in during that time, you will receive the harvesting tool for free at some point this week when it is released!
You shouldn’t have to do anything but enter into the game once the pickaxe is being distributed. The exact date has not been released, but it is possible that it will be when the power leveling weekend starts on January 7th, 2022 at 7pm ET. I wouldn’t worry too much, because it will likely be available for multiple days, so you should have time to get it.

It is part of the Fungus King Set, which contains the Madcap skin in it. This is a well-known skin because it was leaked a long time ago but has not yet been released. Based on the tweet from Epic, it looks like the set will finally be available for purchase very soon. So, you won’t have to purchase the pickaxe as long as you are able to get it for free during the giveaway period!
