Type Soul Unlocking The Yamato Guide
Obtaining the Yamato in Type Soul has been a topic of speculation within the community, as the exact method has not been officially confirmed by the game developers. Some sources, such as the Type Soul Discord, suggest that the Yamato may be obtained through the game’s gacha system, while others point to its availability through Clan Wars, that this weapon is granted by the dimensional essence which drops from Clan Wars and possibly from 1v1s/2v2s.
Yamato Characteristics
The Yamato stands out as a Universal Weapon that can be equipped by all races in Type Soul. Each race variant of the Yamato possesses unique critical hit abilities, with all variants sharing the same M1 attack sequence, which is considered the fastest in the game and deals roughly 14% base damage after the full combo hits. It is important to bear in mind that a Speed of 50 is necessary to effectively wield the Yamato.
Yamato Abilities
- Shinigami: The crit effect remains consistent even in Bankai form.
- Quincy: The crit effect can be blocked, making it advisable to use a skill like “Finger Flick” in conjunction with the crit. It is considered the least effective critical hit out of all three races.
- Arrancar: The crit effect of this variant knocks enemies back, potentially followed up with a “Finger Flick” or “Blade Storm” skill.
