Ygo Master Sky Stirker

Sky Striker is a consistently strong and popular deck that many players may have already played against. This deck combines substance with style by featuring a strong control-deck playstyle with a unique anime-girl-mecha aesthetic. In this guide, we’ll explain how to play Sky Striker and give you an example deck build.

Best Sky Striker Deck

A Sky Striker deck revolves around one card, Sky Striker Raye. This monster has the ability to link-summon into one of her several other powerful forms. Doing so allows you to access many different spells in your deck or graveyard, giving you more options than other decks have in terms of responding to your opponent’s actions.

This deck utilizes many powerful spells to control the pace of the game in your favor. Sky Striker has said to be the meta-counter deck by pro players, referencing the way it provides reliable ways to react to and stop many powerful cards in the meta.

How To Play Sky Striker

Just like our Dark Magician deck guide, this Sky Striker deck revolves around board control and a slow tempo. You slow the enemy down and trash their game plan by countering the activations of their card effects and spell / trap cards so they’re forced to play outside of their strategy.

This deck is all about your Sky Striker spell cards. These cards have powerful effects that activate only if you have no monsters in your main monster zone; This is no problem for you, as you’ll use Sky Striker Ace: Raye to special summon a Sky Striker card from your extra deck, keeping your main monster zone clear.

Use Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! to get the cards you need in your hand when you need them. Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor is a very powerful spell that allows you to take control of an enemy monster until the end phase, effectively throwing the enemy’s defenses back at them. If you play the deck right, you should have your deck littered with spell cards, which is exactly what we need to make our end play.

Sky Striker Ace – Kagari is a great card when played around this deck. Not only does her special summon allow you to bring a spell card of your choice back from the graveyard, she gains 100 ATK for every spell in your graveyard. Play this deck right, and Kagari will be an absolute attack point monster, as you’ll be shredding spell cards consistently through the game.

If Kagari doesn’t do it for you, you can also throw out Sky Striker Ace – Zeke by link summoning with one Sky Striker monster and one other monster. Zeke allows you to send a monster you control to the graveyard once per turn, and by doing so she gains 1000 ATK. Effectively, Zeke is a damage-stacking monster that can be hard to remove with all of your control spells.
