Vampire Survivors is a shoot ’em up video game developed by Luca Galante. It features minimalistic gameplay and rogue-lite elements where you move thousands of night creatures and survive until dawn. The game features lots of different weapons that often require unlocking, and all of the base weapons can be evolved to create an even better version. How to unlock Whip

To unlock Whip, you just have to load up the game and start playing, as it is one of the default weapons that comes unlocked at the beginning of the game. Whip’s effect is: “attacks horizontally, passes through enemies.” You can level this item up 8, and each time you level up the item, it gets a little bit better.

How to evolve Whip

To evolve Whip, you need to level it to 8 and have Hollow Heart (Any Level) as one of your items. This will allow you to evolve Whip into Bloody Tear, which is described as, “evolution of the whip … can deal critical damage and absorb HP.”

You can find the Hollow Heart (Any Level) in in Mad Forest, Moongolow, and from Boss Rash.

Evolved weapons typically have most of the base weapon’s stats, but they tend to have extra affects, a bonus, or some additional benefit that makes it worth evolving the base weapon. To evolve any weapon, it requires a base weapon and then a passive item that is used as a catalyst for the evolution.
