Blade Ball Hell Hook Skill Guide
Hell Hook is designed to latch onto other players and pull them towards your position. It can be considered a semi-troll ability, but when used in a certain way, it can swiftly eliminate opponents. However, its effectiveness diminishes during standoffs and 1 vs 1s.
Firstly, it’s important to note that this ability is powerful not because of the pull itself but because it can be blocked. To counter the chain, simply press the deflect button that is typically used to deflect the ball. This is what makes it so formidable. If you manage to chain or hook someone just before they counter the ball, they inadvertently counter the chain first, resulting in the ball hitting and eliminating them. This happens because they blocked the hook, and with the cooldown on deflection, they are unable to parry the ball again, leading to them getting struck by the ball.
It should be emphasized that in a Blade Ball one-on-one scenario, the Hell Hook falls short. Unless you are able to hook your opponent in the early stages of the duel when the ball is moving slowly, you won’t be able to use the ability effectively to deflect the rapidly incoming ball.
