Palworld has an intriguing mix of monster-capturing and open-world survival, but how can you play with friends outside your platform? While the questions about multiplayer have been answered, the idea of crossplay only got a few references. We’ll let you know if there is crossplay or cross-platform progression below.

Does Palworld Have Crossplay?

No, Palworld will not support crossplay at launch, as revealed by the official FAQ. This means players on Xbox and Steam will not be able to play together directly. Unfortunately, this includes players accessing the game through Xbox Game Pass for PC, which remains separate from the Steam version.

So, you will have to wait to play with anyone on a different console than you. The servers are not made to support players from other platforms and consoles.

Will Palworld Get Crossplay?

The good news is that while not available at launch, the developers are actively working to implement crossplay as soon as possible, according to the FAQ. They are aware of the interest for this feature and want to give players the ability to team up across platforms. While an exact timeline isn’t provided, it’s safe to say future updates hold the potential for unified multiplayer across Xbox and Steam.

Does Palworld Have Crossprogression or Cross-Platform Capability?

Similar to crossplay, Palworld does not currently possess any cross-progression or cross-platform capabilities. This means your save files and character progress are tied to the platform you’re playing on. For example, a save file created on Steam cannot be accessed on the Xbox version, and vice versa.

Is Palworld Getting Crossprogression or Cross-Platform Capability?

As with crossplay, the developers haven’t committed to cross-progression or cross-platform functionality at this time. However, they’ve expressed interest in exploring these features in the future. This means the ability to move save files or characters between platforms is a potential addition down the line, but currently not confirmed.
