Jurassic World Evolution 2, the hit park builder and management game from developer and publisher Frontier Developments, will release a 30th anniversary Jurassic Park update for free on June 8th, 2023. The update will include over twenty new themed decorations.
There will also be a celebratory livestream on the Frontier YouTube and Twitch channels. Today, Frontier is hosting a community competition and social giveaway, where players will have the chance to win a DLC of their choice.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 launched two years ago, and it is available now on PC or current and last-gen consoles for PlayStation and Xbox fans. In an official blog post today, Frontier Developments did reveal a couple of preview images for the upcoming decorations, beginning with a nod to the cafeteria mural:
This mural is instantly recognizable, and it must have been a tricky decoration to implement, since it was originally on a cafeteria wall. It was certain to require a brand-new frame for exterior building, and it looks a little awkward as a standalone feature that’s simply sitting outdoors.
However, it turned out with a solid design, which smartly incorporates familiar torches and angles. Setting it beside a few eating tables gives it viable context. And either way, the mural itself has impeccable authenticity. Here were the other images included in today’s blog post:
These are some memorable decorations that should definitely have franchise fans speculating on the other additions. The last big update was the Feathered Species Pack from last March, which is certainly nice, but any nod to the original film is a sure winner.
Despite the fan division over its sequels, Jurassic Park remains a masterpiece that balances family themes, humor and spectacle with intriguing sci-fi and ethical conversations.
